ECHA launched new practical guide on intermediates

The Practical Guide “How to assess whether a substance is used as an intermediate under strictly controlled conditions and how to report the information for intermediate registration in IUCLID” addresses registrants and downstream users.
It provides examples of use as intermediate and shows, among other things, how to report the information for intermediate registration in IUCLID.
For the companies concerned, it is important to distinguish between intermediates and products. In case of intermediates the data requirements under REACH are considerably lower.
The document is currently available only in English. It can be downloaded under http://echa.europa.eu/view-article/-/journal_content/title/new-practical-guide-on-intermediates-launched
Do you have more detailed questions concerning the registration of intermediates or do you plan a registration?  Please contact us at any time.
